A 17-year-old boy has been arrested after a 15-year-old girl was stabbed to death outside a bus on her way to an independent girls’ school. The boy is reported to have stabbed Eliyanna several times for rejecting his flowers. Video footage
The 15-year-old girl was stabbed as she got off a bus after people witnessed a stand off between a boy and his ex-girlfriend, with the Met Police continuing to question a 17-year-old boy.
The 15-year-old girl whose parents are from Ghana, has been named locally as Eliyanna.
The girl, named as ‘Eliyanna’ in numerous tributes at the scene, died after being stabbed in the neck in front of traumatised friends after getting off a bus near Whitgift shopping centre in Croydon, London, on Wednesday morning (September 27). A 17-year-old boy was arrested around an hour later and remains in custody.
