Residents of Kyerease, near Kronum in the Suame Municipality of the Ashanti Region, are in mourning after the body of an 11-year-old boy, identified as Vincent, was found in the Nwabi River.
The tragic discovery was made on the morning of Sunday, February 16, 2024, leaving family members and the community in shock.
According to Kyerease Assembly Member Mrs. Joyce Osei Asibey, she was informed by some residents about the body in the river.
Authorities were immediately alerted, and the Afrancho Police Command arrived at the location to retrieve the body.
Investigations are currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding Vincent’s death.
The body has since been transported to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital mortuary for further examination.
