Jannik Sinner delivered a masterclass in resilience and precision to defeat Carlos Alcaraz 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 and win his first Wimbledon title, becoming the first Italian man to lift the singles crown at SW19.
The top seed bounced back from a heartbreaking loss to Alcaraz in last month’s French Open final with a composed and clinical performance, sealing victory in three hours and six minutes.
Sinner hit 40 winners and eight aces, matching those with 40 unforced errors in a gutsy display of attacking tennis.
Alcaraz started strong, recovering an early break to take the first set with a dazzling cross-court winner. From there, the momentum shifted. Sinner’s consistency and aggressive return game kept Alcaraz under pressure. A crucial break in the ninth game of the third set tilted the contest in the Italian’s favour.

With the victory, Sinner not only earns his fourth career Grand Slam title but also avenges his Paris heartbreak; all while making history for Italy on tennis’s most iconic stage.
