The police in Begoro have launched a manhunt for a well-known guest house owner known as “James Bond,” who is accused of murdering his girlfriend at the BJ Tech Guest House located in Ehiamankyene within the Fanteakwa South District.
The deceased, popularly known as Koryo, was a prominent food vendor at the Ehiamankyene market. Reports indicate that she shares a child with the suspect, although they don’t stay together.
Family sources reveal that their relationship was kept hidden, and the victim’s relatives were strongly opposed to it.
The incident is believed to have taken place on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, when the victim visited the suspect at his guest house and failed to return home.
Reports suggest that the victim’s younger brother, suspecting she had gone to see her boyfriend, approached the guest house and looked through a window, only to discover his sister lying in a pool of blood.
He promptly notified their parents.
Police from the Begoro station arrived at the scene on the evening of Thursday, November 13, 2025, to recover the body, which has since been transported to the Begoro Government Hospital.
Tensions heightened when some agitated youths set fire to an Apsonic GY9 motorbike belonging to the suspect, threatening to burn the entire guest house.
John Kwame Narh, the Deputy Director of NADMO in the Fanteakwa South District, confirmed the incident, stating that the suspect is currently on the run.
Meanwhile, the police are urging the public to remain calm as investigations proceed.
