Former Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddie Worsenoa Blay, has cast his vote at the party’s headquarters, calling on delegates to come out in their numbers and vote for their preferred candidates.
Speaking with the media, Mr. Blay indicated that after the election, whatever the outcome, the party’s hierarchy will ensure all are together for the general election in 2028.
“The focus today is on a successful election; after that, we’ll cross the bridge when we get there. So far, nothing untoward has happened, and things are going according to plan and execution. And we are happy; whatever happens, we’ll be happy because one of the candidates will be elected as a flagbearer,” he said.
Freddie Blay further assured that the party will rally behind the elected flagbearer as they aim for the general election.
Meanwhile, the NPP flagbearer election is ongoing across various constituencies, with 211,849 delegates expected to cast their votes.
