Three suspects are in police custody following a home robbery at Kwabenya that left a resident shaken and deprived of valuables worth thousands of cedis.
According to police, the suspects allegedly stormed a house in the area and made away with two iPhone 17 Pro Max mobile phones, a gold necklace, an Apple Watch, GH¢14,000 in cash, a car key and US$300.
What has shocked investigators is not only the scale of the theft but the unusual conduct of the suspects after the attack.
Instead of fleeing the scene immediately, the suspects reportedly waited and forced the victim to log out of his iCloud account on one of the stolen phones.
Investigators say this was a calculated move aimed at disabling the phone’s tracking features and increasing its resale value on the black market.
Through intelligence-led investigations, police arrested Francis Amo, popularly known as Agogo, Anthony Boateng, also called Aisha Kojo, and Musah Ibrahim, known as Coded.
Musah Ibrahim is believed to have acted as a receiver, helping to conceal or dispose of the stolen items.
The suspects have reportedly admitted their involvement in the robbery and are currently assisting police with investigations.
Efforts are underway to recover the remaining stolen items and identify other individuals who may have played a role in planning or executing the crime.
The suspects are expected to be processed for court once investigations are completed.
