The sheer contract in emotion after Reinildo Mandava’s stoppage-time equaliser was wild.
Mozambique, despite probably knowing they would never get through anyway, emptied their bench as the entire squad erupted in celebration.
For Ghana, meanwhile, their players dropped to the floor in despair, utterly disconsolate. What a waste.

Mozambique are out, no question of that.
The draw sees them finish bottom of the group, hence their players’ sadness.
But it was a really creditable performance from them, and they came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2.
It couldn’t help them progress but it almost certainly will stop Ghana going through.
