The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has reassigned several of its Programme Managers and Deputy Directors nationwide.
In a letter signed by the Acting Director General, Prof. Samuel Kaba Akoriyea, the reassignments will take effect from May 19, 2025.
The letter, which was addressed to the Regional Directors of Health Services in Greater Accra, Central, Ahafo, Ashanti and Northern regions, said this forms part of a broader strategy to strengthen Ghana’s health system.
“You are therefore requested to supervise the proper handing over and release the Managers and Deputy Directors concerned to their new stations by the given date and communicate dates of assumption of duty to this office,” it added.
This comes after GHS announced another significant reshuffle of some regional health directors in April 2025.
