
The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East, Mahama Naser Toure, has passed away after a period of illness at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
The lawmaker was a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mr Toure, a four-term MP, served in several important parliamentary roles, including Vice Chairman of the Energy Committee.
He was also a member of the Roads and Transport Committee, the House Committee, and the Private Members’ Bills and Motions Committee.
According to sources, the late MP will be buried today at his residence in Nima, Accra, in line with Islamic tradition.
