Musician, Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, popularly known as Mzbel, has named President John Dramani Mahama as her celebrity crush.
The singer, who has long been a vocal advocate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and President Mahama, made the remarks during an interview with Bullet TV.
Mzbel has frequently been at the centre of rumours suggesting a personal relationship with the president—claims she has consistently denied, maintaining that their relationship is strictly professional.
Responding to a question about her celebrity crush, she said, “President Mahama is my crush… He is very handsome… the way he is tall and the way he talks.”
She was, however, quick to clarify that her comments should not be misconstrued, stressing that her admiration is purely aesthetic and respectful.
The “16 Years” hitmaker emphasised that having a crush on the President “doesn’t mean I have any negative thoughts” or inappropriate intentions, describing it as a simple appreciation of his personality and physical appearance.
