DCOP Teye-Cudjoe noted that the actions of one soldier do not reflect the integrity of the entire Ghana Armed Forces.
He reassured the community that the police are dedicated to carrying out a meticulous investigation to rebuild trust.
“We will do everything in our power to bring the perpetrators to justice. Apart from ensuring that justice is served, with the collaboration of the military, we will make sure we bring the culprit to book.
“He is an individual who committed this criminal act, and we will fish him out. We want to assure the people of Nyinahin that we will go all out and make sure that justice is served,” he assured.
Nana Amapene Boateng Twum II, the local chief, called on the police to pursue justice passionately.
“We are pleading with the police to look into this issue. The culprit must be punished. We are all under the law; no one is above it. Even if there was a provocation, you are not supposed to shoot a person. This case is serious, so I am pleading with the police to investigate and bring the culprit to book,” he appealed.
