The Emerald Ladies Inauguration Dinner and Dance unfolded in grand style at Chak 89 ,Mitcham , marking the official debut of a dynamic new women’s organization with an evening of glamour, inspiration, and celebration.
Held in an atmosphere radiating elegance, guests arrived to the soothing sounds of background jazz and a generous spread of welcome drinks. The evening was gracefully steered by the eloquent MC, Sir Richie, who opened the event with heartfelt remarks and an introduction to the night’s exciting programme.

A highlight of the evening was the introduction of the Emerald Ladies’ formidable president, Lady Amanda, whose poise and vision set the tone for the night. She was joined at the high table by an esteemed group of dignitaries, including His Worshipful Civic Mayor Councillor Richard Chatterjee and his wife, Mayoress Angela Chatterjee, Apostle Joseph Kwakye, and revered traditional leaders from Nananom UK & Ireland — notably Nana Kwaku Boahene (Kronkronhene) and Queen Pobat Yenuloom Tintangobie I.

Other notable guests included Mr. Kwame Banwell, a respected chartered accountant, and Lady Vicky, the Emerald Ladies’ dedicated treasurer.

Following a powerful opening prayer by Apostle Joseph Kwakye, the soulful voice of Miss Gladys Bosco filled the room with gospel music as guests enjoyed their starters. Lady Amanda then took the stage with an inspiring presidential address, outlining the mission and future goals of the Emerald Ladies.
Mayor Chatterjee followed with a warm and encouraging speech, commending the Emerald Ladies for their commitment to community, culture, and empowerment. The ceremony also featured an award presentation honoring the dedication and achievements of the executive members.
The night reached another crescendo during the fundraising segment, boosted by a vibrant live performance from Queen Pobat and the electrifying rhythms of musician Ganduff. The spirit of celebration continued with the symbolic cutting of the Emerald Ladies’ inauguration cake, soon followed by Bouncy joyfully cutting her birthday cake amid cheers and well wishes.
The evening concluded with closing prayers and a dance floor that quickly came alive, as music and laughter carried the celebration well into the night.
The Emerald Ladies Inauguration Dinner and Dance was more than an event—it was the dawn of a new legacy of leadership, unity, and cultural pride.
