The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has immediately suspended Hajia Hamdatu from its Communications Team.

In a statement released by the Office of the National Communications Director, the party indicated that this decision was made following comments made by Hajia Hamdatu on a public platform that did not align with the party’s position, vision, and mission.

The statement further explained that the suspension is part of the party’s disciplinary actions intended to uphold consistency in its public communications.

“Hajia Hamdatu is hereby suspended as a member of the Convention People’s Party’s Communications Team with immediate effect,” the statement declared.

The CPP clarified that the Communications Director executed this action in accordance with his duty to ensure that the party’s messages remain accurate and cohesive.

Additionally, the party instructed media outlets not to engage Hajia Hamdatu as a spokesperson or representative of the CPP.

“All media houses are advised not to engage Hajia Hamdatu as a CPP communicator who speaks for or on behalf of the party,” the statement stressed.

The CPP also urged media organisations to assist in ensuring that the views expressed on their platforms accurately reflect the party’s official stance.
