A 15-year-old has also been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody
A 14-year-old boy has been charged with murder after a fatal stabbing in Battersea. The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of stabbing 17-year-old Jamal Coombes on Glycena Road at around 4.05am on Saturday, June 20.
Paramedics, including specialist medics with London’s Air Ambulance, treated Jamal for serious injuries near the junction with Grayshott Road, where he had collapsed. He died at the scene a short time later.
Investigators with the Metropolitan Police believe an armed fight took place in the area earlier that day. The force charged the 14-year-old, from Wandsworth, with murder and possession of a bladed article this morning (Monday, June 22), having detained him yesterday.
