A significant number of Electoral Area Coordinators within the Sissala East Constituency have pledged their support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, a presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Of the 21 coordinators in the constituency, 18 publicly affirmed their backing for the former Vice President on Saturday, December 13, 2025.
The group stated that their endorsement is based on Dr. Bawumia’s competence, humility, and unwavering dedication to the party’s growth and values.
The coordinators conveyed their confidence in his leadership and national vision.
“Eighteen of us are strongly supporting H.E. the former Vice President, and Insha Allah, the next President of the Republic of Ghana,” a spokesperson remarked.
The NPP is set to select its presidential candidate on January 31, 2026, as part of the preparations for the upcoming general elections. Dr. Bawumia is one of five candidates vying for the party’s flagbearer position.
He is contending against former Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong; former Minister for Food and Agriculture, Dr. Bryan Acheampong; former Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum; and former NPP General Secretary, Kwabena Agyapong.
