An Arabic language teacher, Sule Anas, has been declared wanted by law enforcement authorities in connection with serious allegations involving the defilement and unnatural carnal knowledge of two minors in Fijai Zongo, a community near Sekondi in the Western Region of Ghana.
On May 20, 2026, the Gender Court in Sekondi issued a warrant for Anas’s arrest, as confirmed by Superintendent Olivia Adiku, the Police Public Affairs Officer for the region. According to police reports, Anas was employed by community leaders to impart Arabic language skills to the local youth during weekend classes.
Tragically, police investigations reveal that Anas allegedly lured the two minors into a storeroom within the mosque, under the false pretense of performing a spiritual cleansing ritual. It is during this deceptive act that he reportedly committed acts of sodomy and defilement against the children.
Sule Anas is described as having a fair complexion and standing at approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall. Authorities believe he may have fled the country in an attempt to evade capture. According to intelligence gathered by the police, Anas could be hiding in neighboring countries, particularly La Côte d’Ivoire or Togo.
The police are urging the public to assist in the pursuit of justice by sharing any credible information regarding Anas’s whereabouts. Citizens can reach out to the Western Regional Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit or their nearest police station. For immediate assistance, they can also contact emergency numbers 191 or 112 to help facilitate his apprehension.
