Four teenagers have been arrested in connection to a stabbing on Clapham High Street last night (May 18). A 20-year-old man was repeatedly knifed during an altercation on the shopping parade shortly before 8.10pm.
Several paramedics and an air ambulance crew treated the victim at the scene before taking him to a major trauma centre. His injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing, the Metropolitan Police said in a statement this morning.
MyLondon understands the stabbing took place inside or close to the area’s KFC, with blood and medical equipment seen at the front counter. Police activity and a cordon focused on this stretch of the high street.
Officers have detained three men aged 19 and a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. They remain in police custody, pending further enquiries.
Witnesses are urged to come forward to help in the ongoing investigation. Images seen by London Now show blood inside the KFC following the incident.
